Report coursework: You are required to submit a 3,000 word piece of coursework, comprising two elements:
Part 1: a professional valuation report (2,000 words) (50% of the marks for the module); and Part 2: a reflective response piece considering the ethical issues involved in the preparation of the report (1,000 words) (30% of the marks for the module).
Assessment Criteria
Part 1: Valuation Report – your assignment will be assessed against the following criteria:
• • Clearly presented and robustly undertaken collation and analysis of comparable data;
• • Real estate valuation undertaken robustly using the correct method(s), professionally presented;
• • Preparation of the report conforming to all relevant mandatory requirements of the RICS; and Presentation of a valuation report to a professional standard.
Part 2: Response Piece – your assignment will be assessed against the following criteria:
• • Identification of relevant ethical issues;
• • Detailing appropriate action, identifying obligations and responsibilities;
• • Evaluation of the RICS Ethical Standards in assisting ethical conduct; and
• • Evaluation of Codes of Conduct generally.
